Georgina Hill is a visual artist and writer. Her work explores textural manifestations of large-scale power structures and ideologies, how the body encounters material environments, and what these reveal about societal constructs. Recently, she presented a talk at Bulegoa z/b, Bilbao (2020) on coastal economies, published booklets for the Artists’ Self Publishing Fair, London (2020), and participated in the Arnis Residency, Germany (2020). Her practice materialises in video, installation, and text.
She participated in 2019 in the INLAND New Curriculum knowledge composition methodology and has collaborated on other occasions with Campo Adentro. With postgraduate study in English Literature at University College London, she was a student of Hito Steyerl at UdK Berlin, and is now completing her Masters in Fine Art at Goldsmiths University, London.
Her work has been shown internationally at the Seoul Biennale for Architecture and Urbanism (South Korea), Nordic Winter Symposium, Nida Art Colony (Lithuania), Art Night (UK), Museum of Photography (Germany), and Faena Art Forum (USA), among others.
