Solo Show - Space 2

We are pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Max Boyla (Edinburgh, 1991) in Space 2, opening in June 2027 on the occasion of Art Palma Brunch.

Following his solo exhibition The Smoke That Thunders at the gallery in autumn 2024, Boyla returns with new paintings on satin, a synthetic material derived from petroleum. Understanding painting as illusion, his work inhabits a space where the real world meets the eternal and the fictional, and where fantasies of the infinite collide with a contemporary sense of disillusionment.
